Vortex and the Weber SS wok

Question for the vortex owners in here. I have the Weber SS wok, not the 70's version. It sits on the grate tabs and I'm wondering if a vortex will fit under it. I currently use my baskets BUTTTT am thinking about adding the Vortex to the crew. I'll be using it on an 18.5 if that helps at all.

Does the bottom of the wok dip down lower than the grate level?
If you install some cooking grates upside down, will the wok sit without touching the grates in the middle? If so, you should be ok.
