G'day new member here.
I've been loving going through the forum looking at all the restoration tips and guides. Bit of a shame a lot of the photos don't show up.

Anyways my question is relating to the age of my Weber Kettle. I've checked the age guide but I still have a few more questions.

My Red Weber Kettle is marked C indicating its from 1981, it still has the 3 daisy vents down the bottom, but all 3 of the handles are wooden and 1 screw only. All the photos i've found online have 2 metal/1 wooden for the 3 vent models or 2 screw wooden handles. Just piqued my interest.

MY APOLOGIES I'VE FOUND THE 1981: WEBER GRILL HISTORY PAGE, MY BAD
Black Compact Weber Kettle
Red Weber Kettle 1981
Brown/Chocolate/Copper Mist Weber Kettle 1986 (Current Restoration Job)

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

Welcome to the club!
Here are two of my redheads, the one on the left is a 79 A code with metal bowl handles and two-rivet lid handle, the one on the right is an 81 C code with all three wooden handles.
Show us your redhead when you get a chance!

Welcome to the site! Mr.CPHo those are some sweet looking reds! I have the 22 equivalent of both years in red. They are my BRIGHTEST reds in my stable compared to earlier and later reds.
