I'll have to take more pics. The top is really rough around the handle. That pic was just to show the yellow wheels and triangle.

I believe you Ted.  Please send it along to me to so you don't have to suffer along with it any longer.    ;)

Hahaha. Who said I was suffering?  It's my favorite cooker.

Sometimes our favorite cookers have the most scars or freckles.  ;)

Well, if you are going the welding route, just be sure to keep the current on 1 not 2 (if you have a welder that gets hotter with the flip of a switch). I kept mine on 2 one time and damn near burnt through the kettle. Also the wire speed was 3 for me. Worked out well. The larger vent route though seems pretty cool. Sad that someone would paint a yellow green and think that was a good idea. It's nice to see you tackling a large project. Good luck.

If you didn't repair this Kettle years ago...

You could screw it up.

Or whack the leg sockets off and cover whats left with the bottom of a red head...or green donor kettle.

1/2 yellow and 1/2 red kettle would look good.

Could make it a one touch in the process.
You can't always get what you want....but if you try sometimes you get what you need
