Nah at the end of the day it's yours to do what you want.  If it's as bad as you said, you did what you could and this is still in the fight.....So what do you do with it?  Just a gas kettle?

Yeah. When it came down to it, I didn't have the heart to cut the lid. It's my Weber MBH 18 Redhead B code Charcoal Kettle Gasser Conversion. I do use chunks with it though!

Cut the lid. I don't like to see rare kettles abused, but yours already has a rusted out bottom and has the bowl modded. Go ahead and cut the lid, complete the conversion and keep it cooking.

I think it's cool. I'd rather see them like this than in a landfill or cut up for scrap recycling.
