Ok! I finally got the leg out!!! Yay Me! Seems that the original thumbscrew had rusted in there solid. Previous owner drilled through, but not enough. I had to drill the hole out a bit bigger to get it all out. After that, just a bit of effort to pop it out.

This one is definitely gonna be a looker. There are too many issues with the bowl, that I'm not comfortable cooking on it, just because I think it will deteriorate even more. There is too much rust both inside & outside along with some rust through.

So, it will basically be a preservation for a display piece.

What I've done so far is given the bowl a spray of  oil and given it a good wipe down. Hopefully this will stop the rust from progressing.

Oh, it will get a cook. IMO, no matter what grill you get... It has to have at least one cook.
