When I picked up my new 26er a couple weeks ago the seller threw in 2 chimneys. one was a standard Weber branded chimney and the other one I haven't seen before. What's nice about it is that it empties from the bottom. Makes loading baskets or a vortex much easier. I'm wondering if anyone knows who make this???
Handle in closed position

Bottom is closed

Raise the handle and the bottom opens to let the charcoal out

drink a little drink, smoke a little smoke    8)
It's not just a grill, it's a WEBER

I've got one of those. Very first chimney that I had. When I got my first Weber chimney, I didn't understand why the hell they'd make you lift it up and flip it over....

No idea who manufactured mine.

That's pretty cool, long as coals don't get stuck in the narrow side.
Still need a 22" yellow

Home Depot has them in my town. I like pouring my coals in though.

Help a guy out and find out who makes it please.
I like the idea of a bottom drop it could be very handy at times nice to have a option.
Thanks.

I had one of those Chargriller chimneys and it didn't work very good. The floor looks like it is a laser cut piece of metal. The "ears" that go thru the holes of chimney cylinder or something else always seemed to bind up. The floor would drop part way and I would have to flip it the normal way while hoping the bottom didn't open in the process.

Loved the idea, but then started thinking this^^^ would be a problem

I think the one Scott has would work much better. It looks like you can move the handle vs pull the trigger on the chargriller and hope that gravity is enough to overcome any binding that occurs. Also, The portion that extends thru chimney wall being made of round stock means it is less likely to bind up.
