Fred Sanford deal - "this is the Big One Elizabeth!"

Thats how I felt when the guy opened the storage unit and dragged this out and the leg fell off!!

He must have assured me 3 times it wasn't rusted out-it isn't but it sure had been through the wringer!

The pic should have been a tip off.

The guy is just looking for someone to haul away his crap, and well, my inner Fred Sanford kicked in. 2 miles from home and the fastest craigslist dealio in memory, it ranks up there in my top POS freebie scores.

The remaining leg sockets all have popped spot welds

Poor ol' lid got the @Idahawk "bowling ball and shiatsu massage" technique to pop out the dent and straighten the handle.

"EE" 1999 Master-Touch

Ash pan AWOL, other than that we got some sweet parts out of the deal!

Hats off to Matt @SixZeroFour  for hipping me to this most awesome of awesome scores!!

Can you beat that? Lets hear it!

Interested in the lid bale if you want to part it out

Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...

Nice score!

I always like trying to figure out how the dent's happen. That one looks like a closed fist karate chop.

I'm pretty sure my red 26 was hit with a sword.

Also, somehow you got the sanford and son theme song stuck in my head. I think it autoplayed after your video or something. :|

Well I'm glad you didn't have to make a long trip to grab this one... I saw the free MT and proceeded to sound the alarm without closer inspection :o

At least the price was right, and those are some good parts! That cross bar alone should be considered a small piece of treasure 8)
