Introducing Eileen

I picked up this redhead a couple months ago. EI code and she has a heavy lean to the right so her name is Eileen. Insert your jokes here. I don't know if she was born this way or suffered a tragic accident. Both rear legs are the same length and all leg sockets are secure.

The first thing I did was get a level spot in my garage to sit her on.

You can see she leans heavy to the right

A 9/16" wood shim makes her level

Rear legs the same length

Leg tagged and marked for the cut

A little off but a new front leg cap will put her perfect level

All fixed

Her front leg still points to the right a little but she is all level now!

Couldn't help it. Nice work though. I wouldn't even know where to start cutting.

there goes another super rare weber driveway slope grill ! only 15 were known to be produced in 97 but cancelled when weber realized that most driveways lean the other way , as a result they were sold in the Australian market . just kidding ! lol (sorry been painting for 12 hours )good job .

I had a redhead I bought that was missing a front leg. I used a broom stick to stand her up. I called her "Peg Leg Sue" My wife got mad every time I said it!

I have read a few post's in the past of a few people with a 26" kettle with a crooked bowl. A call to Weber and they received a new one to fix the problem. This grill is Red, and 19 years old, I don't think a replacement is available.

Yes I posted many piks to try and show the offset the best I could, and took many more that I didn't post. I even put black tape on the backside of the bubble on the level trying to get it to show better in the piks for this forum. I thought this would be a great conversation thread wondering was it made this way or run over by a truck.

I had good intentions with this post, from now on I will only talk about wood handles and hot dogs

It's all good brother I'm just giving you the business.....I do however love hot dogs. I do have a 26 that's not level, the only thing I can think is that the legs sockets get pulled out too far and you just really can't notice it but it's there.....
