So here is the red SSP I picked up tonight on the Columbus CL postings. I'm no expert here but this thing is damn near flawless. No chips, dings, dents, or rust on the lid or bowl. Cart has very minimal rust. EZ code. Beautiful fade. My grail. Wife says it's my last grill. Sorry I don't have more pics or better shots. In a hurry as usual.

I think this will clean up with a razor.

Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

SmokenJoe

That is one fine SSP.  Looks in the pics as though it was parked inside and seldom used for all those years.  She deserves a 'new' 5 lb tank.

Really nice!

I have her sister - an EZ red MT gifted to me by @Maxmbob. Mine isn't in quite as good shape, though...

The lovely wife gives me some "side eye" when I call her "Easy Red." Not sure why.

My wife said the same thing 22 grills ago. Very nice RRR
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

I love this club. You guys are pretty funny. I did tell her part of the deal was that I'd sell my red MT. I'm going to try and see how long before I get asked "why is that still here"? The only other kettles I'd really want are

Red MBH
Yellow

Great lookin ssp, kettlebb! That fade is beautiful.

My wife told me the same thing a couple grills back. I told her I understood, but when that colored mbh pops up, I'm all over it! I got the eye roll too... They'll never understand that we don't grow up....

Congrats on your Grail brother!

My wife said the same thing when I got my first kettle.  I can not remember how many I have now.  Whole bunch on outside deck and bunch of them hiding in the basement.  I am kind of running out of room already.

That is a beautiful Red! I would love to have Red mist Performer, but I don't think I have room anymore. Beside, nice red like that or any nice color kettles don't come up to often around here.  Congrats!

Nice.  Be sure to list your MT for $400+ on CL.   That way you can honestly tell your wife that you tried to sell it, without worrying about actually having to get rid of it.   If  she asks about the high price, explain that it IS a collector's item

Congrats on the barely legal score! That's in great shape.
"Have you hugged your Weber today?"

my wife said something like that a few years ago too.  My last 3 grills have all been free and she even found the Genesis gasser for me!
