Saturday night dinner
« on: September 15, 2016, 09:21:03 AM »
Just some random pics from what we grilled up on Saturday. I had to work all day as did my wife so my good friend Wil came over with all the food, beer and rum. He had everything prepped and a cold drink waiting for me when I got home. He also got some grilling time with my son on his 18", who came up with some bacon wrapped smoky links which I hear were great.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks Wil!

Great looking cook, Rrum. How did your Cubans turn out? Nice looking Blue SSP.

Looks great dude. I'd definitely dig in to one of them sammi's. I'll have to keep an eye out for that rum. I don't think I've seen it in my area. We LOVE our rum here.

@maxmbob This was my second round with Cuban sandwiches, I couldn't be more excited about making them and they are fantastic. Whenever I smoke a shoulder now I'll split it in half, half for pulled pork and the other goes in the fridge for slicing up for the cubans.

@Travis the Monkey Rum is new to me, it just became available recently in this area. The toasted coconut is very nice. All we do here is rum, I'll post some pics later of the rum bar. The go to rum drink we make is either a Dark and Stormy or a mojito, but in the summer months we do some old school Zombies and Mai Tai's. I have some drink recipes from the godfathers of tiki like Trader Vic and Don the Beachcomber in 1940's and 50's for these which are amazing.
