Too many grills and too little time! Looking for a  BLUE GENESIS GASSER! Will pay a bounty!

the Tamale Kid

Everyone who sees my colored kettles for the first time always asks if I painted them. Many think that kettles only come in black. Nice spring green BTW!
Hunting for Lime, Blue Wave, Yellow, Red, Ivory, & Blue kettles

very nice.. one day, I too will have one...not sure on the color though. I like the green, and really like the ivory...decisions, decisions.........
Lookin' for a flat top 26"( not black)

I talked to the guy at Johnstone's and he told me they contacted weber and said they wanted some different colors than the big box stores in the states and weber said if you agree to buy x amount of units (don't remember the number he said) they would produce them so apparently they agreed and now they get all the cool colors. At least that's what I was told

I just don't understand Weber's marketing.  Do they not think that people in the US would not be interested in colors other than black for this grill or not offer some of the accessories here that they have in other countries?

Wayne

Seriously, like the weber pizza attachment they get to have over in the UK!

kettlebb

Just speculation but do you think kettle heads are in the minority? They look at their sales and overall grill sales in the USA and they see much more gas than charcoal? Maybe they are too focused on lowering manufacturing costs and bringing a cost effective product to the consumer. I'll say this. If I went shopping for a new kettle and had to pay a little more for a special color I'd do it without question. That's why I cruise CL a lot, that and I prefer the welded non taco handle kettles. I think they would have a supply issue if the stores started stocking the nice new ivory and spring green.

In BC, he would have paid 12% tax on it.  So, add an extra $36 to $299.99 CAD.

Using the following link to get an approximation:

http://www.bankofcanada.ca/rates/exchange/daily-converter/

And, it's $260 USD (rounded up).

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.
