This definitely corroborates my color hunch of the switch from lime to dark green and yellow to dark blue. Lime and yellow being gone by 1978-79 and the other two colors in their place.

I called them yesterday actually and ordered the stainless steel skewers and spacer (european) by the part number on the box, and I confused the hell out of them.  I told them its probably only from European...then they said, Oh...yeah, we can't get that here!
Kettle collector AND cooker!

This gives me a good idea what to stain my '79 redhead's handle.

MartyG

A little Simi Chrome polish on the top vent. Same for the legs - you"ll see them soon.

Shiny!
Does the simichrome have anything in it that keeps the aluminum from going dull again?
kettles, smokers...

Craig

This thread needs to be retitled "18.5" tease" Have you used simichrome on used "cooker" vents? If so, how'd they turn out? Looks fantastic!

MartyG

Daisy wheel vents cleaned up nice, but they don't shine like the top vent, and I'm not going to spend the time getting there - at least not today.
