Use what you've got, you can always swap parts like @Idahawk showed w/ the other 22" grate (stable handles @ cardinal directions)
if you upgrade an old silver to have the flip-grate.
I just keep everything in rotation & heat cleans these kettles so I try to have one cooking & another w/ dozen or so coals (>300") just to have a "holding cell" or sides warming

What is wrong with using two kettles? Two 22's will cost less than one 26.

I cook on multiple kettles all the time and I'm in the middle of restoring a 26r. Once done, I don't think it will change. I just like using my grills.

I run my performer and smokey joe at the same time when I want more room.

Meat in SSP and veggies on SJ.

Configurations vary but it works out.
-Custon SS 1998 Performer- with mods inspired by Idahawk, Winz, Zavod44 and a bunch of you here.
- Jumbo Joe with smoker mods

I'd also go with the 2 22s. I have 2, 1 red and 1 black. Use both quite often for the meatpalozza cooks we do every couple of weeks so we can freeze it and when we are lazy we just take out the cooked stuff and reheat. This past weekend was 2 tri-tips, corn, ribs, a whole chicken, and some chicken thighs. All fit on 2 22" webers
Rollin coal

22" 81 B (Faded Black), 22" 86 H (Black),91 N SJ (black), 18" 65 (Red), 12 AU Tostito SJ , 22" CU (Copper), 22” (Brown)Happy Cooker, Q2000 Charcoal, Weber Spirit, 22in Yellow, 18"WSM, Happy cooker SJ

More grills, easy solution.

Yep. Easy, cheap solution. Getting 3 or 4 grills going also impresses guests. Also gets the better half on board needing more gills.
Still need a 22” yellow
