They sure do.  Kind of similar to the vents on the new Summit Charcoal Grill.....probably will make this grill awesome for fine tuning a slow and low cook!

I would guess that it is the same size grate that would have been used for an 18" Outrider / SJ Platinum / Jumbo Joe (older style).

It is a Weber.  I have the same grill. Chopped the legs down for a table top and had to put bolts on to hang the newer food grate.
