The mod has already been modified = mod squared. Or rounded. By adding a 4.5" dryer hose clamp to hold the propane bottle to the mounting bracket. It's pretty darn solid now.

Local Ace hardware currently has propane for $0.71 per lb, so I think I'm set for when I run out. But thanks for the info!
