Are there any Wishing Wells left?
« on: June 06, 2016, 06:27:56 PM »
I don't think I've ever seen anyone post one of these here. Are any of these still around? Pretty cool and unique.

Oh wow! Never seen that! Bet one turns up now though. Harris92 probably got 4 or 5 in the garage!

I'd like to see it opened up and what they concocted for the ashes. It looks like the cado has tabs on it.

Somehow I feel the top roof area is impractical, and would cause smoke to flow downward back at you.

I do appreciate the priority of the design, though.  Whenever I see someone holding an umbrella over *themselves* while grilling, I always want to chide them:  "Protect the *grill*!"

I don't know of any that have ever surfaced.  In this thread, http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/the-true-white-whales-list/msg202576/#msg202576
@harris92 referenced a known Barrel BBQ but nobody mentions a wishing well.

If I would have known a few weeks ago what I know now,  I'd definitely be the proud owner of a custom kettle!

All right. Spill the beans on the story.

Wishing well along with the Penthouse seem to still be in "Great Pumpkin" status. I'm confident at least a scarce few survived.

I was told by a fairly credible source that there were 1000 wishing wells produced.

As many of you, I hope to at least see one in my lifetime!

Seems like working that handle on the Wishing Well would get old after a while.  And who wants a hot lid in the forehead, or otherwise getting in the way?  Airflow might have been an issue as well.

Clearly the design is a trainwreck and it wouldn't be fun to use at all... but that's not the POINT gentlemen...  C'mon guys.  It would be awesome to have one of these rare bad boys.... forehead burns and all....
