On my way bright and early 6 AM to CDL/A class, and I see what looked like a kettle off on the side of the road...I was in a real hurry, and didn't have time to turn around for it...But I got out early, and decided to go back that way (About 10 hours later), and I had a rough idea of where I saw it...after some angry people tailgating me for going slow looking for it, (Ironically while "Still Can't Find What I'm Looking For" is on the radio), boom! It's a Smokey Joe on the side of the road not far from a camp site. Wish I had a pic of finding it in the wild. Was too excited, and packed it up. It has an unopened bag of briquettes in it, and seems someone wanted to make someones day...
Well, sure made mine! Barely any rust besides on the wing nuts and a bit on the legs. Wooden handle is in great condition! Date checks out as an EO, a 1995!
Pics up shortly!
I already have a grill for small cooks, and enough for big cooks..Im just gonna polish him and put him on display, and call him 'Ol Smokey.
