Test smoke
« on: May 28, 2016, 11:23:48 AM »
So I cleaned out the big boy and received some more info. Thanks to a tip from one of the guys, I was able to get in contact with JB from Louisiana Cajun on YouTube. While he didn't have too much info, he did mention that in fact he did use his and that Kelley (who manufactured it) went out of business in the 80s. This seems like a later 70s model, possibly a 76 but more research is needed. Temps seem to be a consistent 275, however I am using match light  >:( and some scrap Apple chunks to "season" after cleaning it. Reason for cleaning? Paint was coming off  :o

I love it

Pretty neat smoker. I've seen a ton of Jb's vids where he's used that. Cool find man.

I saw that also but he modified his with an electrical element from a char-broil. He also added a door. I like its look and really dont want to add anything, just get better.
