An agent came through for me.

I picked up two of these, they traveled as checked baggage.  They were bundled feet to feet.  They got compressed and all feet needed to be straightened a little.  The handles on one were also flattened.

Otherwise, fully functional and the cooking surfaces remained flat.

These actually seem pretty sturdy.  Cooking directly on the porcelain worked well.  Time will tell if this beats cast iron for a griddle.  It does heat and recover very quickly.

It is very hot around the perimeter where the heat is venting.

This is my new Flat Kettle Griddle & first cook:

Manturion!

The surface cooks pretty well. There's nothing for a 'seasoning' to stick to, so I always just use a razor to clean it up, which makes it easy.

Looking forward to more of your cooks.
Dude, relax your chicken.

I was surprised how well it cooked.  With some oil. it was pretty non-stick.

Every weekend in the summer, although not this summer, we prepare a pancake breaky on the griddle.  It will be fun to try this vs the CI that I have been using.

How do you decide how much charcoal to use?  Is there any way to control temp?

Yeah, bacon doesn't usually have an issue with sticking...

But for other things, I spread a light coat of oil out.

For heat, I had training wheels to start with - a kettle gasser    8)

Using charcoal, I just spread out a chimney full of KBB, and then run    ;D

The heat seemed to settle in when cooking different meats and I didn't have an issue.

I haven't attempted pancakes yet, but I'd still use a full chimney load, but maybe leave a cooler area, just in case.

And lots o' butter    ;)
