Why isn't the 14.5" WSM an option?  ;D I own the 14.5" and the 22.5"

Here's a pic of the original Mini with SJ Mini.
I would love one! I suspect that Weber didn't sell enough to justify keeping them in production. There are rumors that they'll bring it back, but if you extrapolate price to today's prices they would be about $225US and I'm not sure they would sell at that price point when you can put together a Tamale pot mini for about half that.
kettles, smokers...

Ha, I only had 5 slots and needed to get the WTF option for buckie.  :)
That's a sweet 14.5"

That, and the 18.5" sells for $249 here.
Hopefully I can get back to my mini build here shortly.  I have family coming to town on Saturday for a week ( :o ) so I'll find lots of time to complete it.  lol
I've always had gas...  And now a bunch of kettles because of this place.  Thanks!

Those little WSMs are so cool!

I have (share with my comp partner) 4 WSMs, one 22 and three 18s. We love them! For the price, I'm not sure if you can find a better smoker.

I found a 2008 18.5 WSM last year for 85 bucks. I do love it-- it is just the thing for long slow smokes. But the more I use the kettles, the more impressed I am with their versatility.  The cover stays on the smoker more and more these days.

So close, but yet so far...  I'm 3rd in line - meaning - not a chance in hell.   :(
This is on Craigslist for 50 bucks!
I'm getting closer to matching Hank's photo.   ;)
.
Although I have never used this smoker, the unit does have some rust on it (see the photos). The charcoal grate has significant rust, but it could be used as is or one could purchase a replacement grate from Weber (you might even be able to buy a replacement charcoal grate from Lowe's or Home Depot). There is also some rust around the rim of the top kettle.

Although not pretty, you could use this unit as is and be fine.

I also have a cover for it and the original assembly/owner's manual.

Here is my 22 WSM next to a recently acquired Ranch Kettle. Used them both this weekend.

Here is a recent picture of my WSM family. I use the 22" the most.

And a few recent cooks:

PBE-
Great...  My wife is going to love you for this!   I don't own a WSM, but rather a self-built mini-UDS which works great.    Seeing this pic makes me want to sell the UDS and collect all 3 of these!!!   ::)
Interested in ANY offset handle SJs you may have.

A common issue with the 22" is people say that leaks. Mine does leak and it's annoying to control tems below 250. How badly does it leak? Look at this official Weber picture and see for yourself!

A Nomex gasket around the door would fix that though.... Wouldn't it??
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

Yeah. The door opening is so large and the door is so flimsy that the single handle has trouble keeping it tight against the midsection. I have also heard good things about the Cajun Bandit door.
