My new KooKy K Red
« on: April 12, 2016, 11:30:00 PM »
I picked this up in January I think, in Newport Beach.  Poor thing was kept outside and abused it's whole life.  I wanted it for the bale and thermo for another project.  I put in the backyard and forgot about for a few days and one late afternoon I went out back and saw it had one of the best fades I'd seen on a Red so I decided to give it go.  These are the Before Pics.

3 months later and way more money and time then I think it's worth.

Think I'm keeping it.  Thanks for looking.

Looks great! Love the wheels. Which ones did you get? I have some similar but cant put the cap on to keep them fixed on the triangle, only the metal part of it.

So is the lid bale still available?

j/k

Nice shine on 'er. Nice save.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Turned out pretty dang nice.  Like the monotone theme with the black legs & red wheels. Nice touch.
Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

That's beautiful. Great work.

Love the black legs, I think I might do that to my custom height legs!

Thx for posting

That fade is awesome but it distracted me from what was really catching my eye and making it pop....the black legs in combination with the red wheels.  Very nicely done!!!!
