Retrofitting A New Performer Deluxe Gas Bottle
« on: April 09, 2016, 02:58:52 PM »
Hi all, getting ready to replace an older Performer Deluxe with a new one. But I'm not a fan of the small disposable gas bottle. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience retrofitting a new one to use the refillable 5 lb. gas bottle from the old style? It seems that finding a place to mount the bottle would not be a problem so it seems to come down to the hookup and connections. Thanks.

The easiest way to do this is to procure the regulator and hose assembly from the SS (everything up to the burner tube) then swap it in. You might be able to keep the same hoses and just swap the regulator but idk if doing so will give you sufficient hose lengths  I'd trade you regulator and hose assemblies straight up if you are interested. Let me know!
