Red Mist vs Brick Red
« on: April 07, 2016, 06:54:40 AM »
The Red Mist SS Performer I rescued has a boogered up lid. It is quite dented under the vent damper and it is affecting the temperature control.  I tried to straighten it out as much as possible, but I am not happy with it.  I am considering buying a replacement lid form e-replacement parts, but the only red one they offer is brick red, and it has a taco handle.

Has anyone compared the shades of red?  I would be ok with a slightly different shade, but not a very obvious one.

Thanks.

This is brick red...pretty much maroon. I don't think it would match at all.

The two colors aren't very close. Just google a picture and you'll see. Brick red isn't much different from crimson. It'll look odd next to the red bowl, that's for sure.

Yep, that's a bit too far off. Thanks. Google had a few different shades.

I'm a fan of the brick red; was it available without logo?
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Brick red was available on performers. I own one. It would look strange on a red mist kettle.

Post a wtb for the lid you are seeking..it may take a while but you may get a wkc member that would sell you one

I just listed a performer candy apple red bowl and lid at an extremely fair price that helped a member with their collection....it happens...good luck with your search
