Tri Tip at Smart & Final (SoCal)

Saturday I went to checkout Briskets (2.69/lb) But the Tri Tip caught my attention.  2.49/lb Bulk Buy and I couldn't pass it up.  21.9 lbs of Tri Tip cost me $52 and change.  Five in the bag.  Tri Tip is like gold around here now usually about $6.00/lb.  Just thought I'd share.

I've loved the tritips I got at Smart and Final about two months ago...select grade, but I leave the fat caps on, and they've been some of the best things I've BBQd lately.  Good find!

Geez. $2.50 a pound is a great deal. We don't see many tri rips here in the Midwest, but since I found out about them I have my butcher cut them for me fresh. Hell, you can't beat that!

Dang that a good deal I guess I paid way to much H.E.B.   I paid like $8 a pound and got a 2 pounder
