Economical GrillS Cover
« on: February 05, 2016, 06:30:25 PM »
Now I know we don't like to cover our grills. I don't, either. But keeping them covered can't hurt, especially if it doesn't cost but a fraction of my old Performer and big OTG covers that wore out last year.

So I was in Academy Sports the other day and noticed this big A$$ grill cover half off on clearance. It might not last as long as my old covers, but I'll only be out $15.

My main concern is the 26" getting blown over.
Still need a 22” yellow

My main concern is the 26" getting blown over.

That's a legitimate concern and I probably wouldn't cover all together to catch the wind even worse in a different spot. However, since the layout of our house isn't simply rectangular, they're pretty well protected from west and north winds. The Performer will catch the brunt of the south winds. Which reminds me, I need to order some new casters for it from Weber. I had resigned to not covering any of them anymore, because of both the cost and hassle, but couldn't pass up trying this.
