First off:  @Bustin Butt, glad to have you joining the ranks of the recently retired  ...  if you're like my wife and I, retirement is S-W-E-E-T, lay-back/sit-back and enjoy.  We've found that there's never enough time in the day to do all those things you want to do (at the pace YOU choose to do them)     That JJ was a truly thougtful gift; we bought an RV soon after we retired and a JJ would have been perfect.                           SJ

Second off: @guitarfish, a CLOCK?  Really?  Of course, what is the one gift a retired person can do without?  Everyone now, all together, any form of timepiece, right.  We can now, finally, live out our whims and follow our fantasies as we choose -and- at our pace.  God I love being retired.                        SJ

Congratulations to you @Bustin Butt!  I retired this week also after 27 plus years on the job.  Thursday was my last work day and life is sure going to be different.  I get to pick my retirement gift in a few days after I make a decision on what I want.  I have plenty of grills though.

Can't say I haven't had some doubts even though I know I'm ready and it is time.  Old habits are hard to break but I'm looking forward to retirement!
