Not the cleanest this grill has been but it will do.  Finally got my tank cover back.  My girlfriends mom has had it for a while to make another I need to send out to a grillfella.  Love the look of my kettle pizza along side the SS top.

@Slicer021   Here is some data gleaned from back posts on WKC that might be helpful:

"
True grey kettles:
1963 22.5 two tone grey mist aka "The Plainsman" had a MLH.
   1990-1991 light grey 22.5 BAR-B-Q KETTLE and OT+/MT.
Late 2000's Crate & Barrel Performer dark grey.
Performer Gen 1 :  1990-to-2005 (called the SS - Stainless Steel) in Grey
Performer Gen 2 :  2005-to-2009  1lb LPG, Fiberglass top, in Grey.
"

and, my, Performers.

Of NOTE:  Many of us prefer the SSP because you can set hot whatever right on the worktable :)                             SJ

Craig, you and SJ are right , '75 was the last year that the "BAR-B-Q KETTLE" small, round tab with serial number vent was used, they changed to the "WEBER" vent in '76.

@AZRaptor - You're black SS looks like it was taken out of a box and put together for the first time a week or two ago.   Thats a clean @$$ SS!  Are you missing the coal bin, or is it just not visible in that pic?

It's western red cedar and it's actually the Forest Green color bowl and lid . I took that pic about 3 or 4 years ago and 3 or 4 iPhones ago so it's not that great a picture , it does totally look blue :)
