Did a little research on this photo and discovered it's was shot in the studio of WCCO Minnesota -St Paul for the television show " Around Town " with Arle Haeberie

Here's a video of Arie with the inventor of Tonka to give you a feel of what it must have been like on the show back then . *****this video does not contain the demo cook ****

But

It's very possibly this demo cook still exists on film and a search for it is currently taking place by the museum that houses these archives to see if it or a transcript is available.

Happy New Year

Cool stuff, question, does anyone load up their kettles like that?
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

If you notice in the old brochures like the one  @harris posted you see that the number of people you can feed with each grill is mentioned. Must have been a big question back then as a Barbecue was an event with lots of guests :)

Showing it loaded up must have been the way to go

Yup, but back then there was no craigslist, no 60 year log of available Webers to feed a secondary market, and a new one cost like 2 weeks pay! Had to pack those bad boys of BBQ to bursting!
