H-Code Brownie, My first restore
« on: December 28, 2015, 05:55:17 PM »
I picked up a H-Code Brownie Dec.1.  I finally got some time off to restore it.  The triangle was rusted,  the legs were oxidized.  The inside of the lid and bowl was a thick-coated baked on nightmare which took a lot of time to scrape and chemically clean.  The lid handle was rotted and the side handles were make-shift home made and were glued on.  The upside is the leg sockets were solid and it had few battle scars.  It was not beyond restoration.  I have a series of before and after pics.

I would like to thank Matt (SixZeroFour) for the great restore tips.  Also Brian for the amazing high quality handles.  They are worth every penny.  Finally I appreciate the wealth of information on our WKC site.  Thank you all.

Absolutely gorgeous.   I bought all the tools to restore my kettle here at the dock but I'm gonna wait til spring to get started.  If mine comes out half as good as yours I'll be thrilled.

Wow, you did an awesome job.  Such attention to detail.  I know how hard you worked on that and how long it must have took.

Bravo!
