Going to be biting my nails untill I hear back from the seller of the one I found.

MacEggs

We're pulling for you, BC, so please go get this.  Not many brownies show up up here in Canada.
I wouldn't even hesitate if it's only 20 minutes away.  Heck, an hour away, and I'd be going ....

@SixZeroFour , my "A" code blackie does not have a rolled edge pan.
My guess is that this brownie is an A or B code.
Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

SixZeroFour

Some early A's may have had carry-over pans but most have the rolled-edge (at least the ones I've seen)

That's either a 1978 or early 1979 (given the straight edge pans carried over into the winter-spring of '79. By mid-late '79 they switched to the rolled edge twist ash pans. The added the "hold down" clips in 1980.

I own three 1979 kettles (one is NOS) that all have the straight edge ash pans. Making them early 79s.

Picking it up tomorrow morning. I'm a noob to the Weber kettle and have just one. I'll post pics when I get back. Feeling like a kid at Christmas.

With a good idea now of what it is thanks to you folks, I'd do a day long trip if I had to, but I'm just crazy like that. Also picking up a freebie with a cover tomorrow, a newer model. I'm told it was used maybe 10 times. We'll see.
