Better/higher resolution pictures for the site achive will soon follow but here is a sneak peak. Turns out, Lime Green (Key Lime) made it into 1978 along with yellow which brings me back to my original conclusion that Lime kettles were made from 1974 (Fall 1973) to 1978. Yellow from 1973 (Fall 1972) to 1978. This is a copyright 1978 catalog and it is stamped form CC-78. Now until I get a closer look (higher resolution) I can't quite make out the lid vents as to whether they are small tab or large tab yet. These could be 1977 kettles photographed for 78 since color's and selection did not change from 77. Seeing this now presents another mini mystery so to speak .. There are at least 2 dark blue MBH and one dark green MBH in the WKC with the undated "1978" lid vents in existence (I own a dark blue one) . The 1979 catalog (T-79, Date Code A) is copyrighted 1978 and yellow/lime are gone in favor of dark blue and dark green. This has me thinking that my 22 dark blue undated '78 MBH and @dazzo 's 22 dark green undated '78 MBH are October-December '78 made kettles for the 1979 model year. I know one other member (forgive me I forget who it is, please chime in) also has an undated "78" blue MBH 22. I also have a own a chocolate '78 22 and @SixZeroFour has a red '78 22 too. Here's the photos...

Thanks! It's a labor of love. I noticed that lime sequoia too and it looks super sharp with the stained cart. 🏻

Man @Craig this is awesome, thanks so much for posting it! How on earth did you ever go about finding this?

Also, how would you go about determining a true '78 from say a '77 or '76?

'78 is my birth year, so this vintage is of particular interest to me. My grail of grails is a '78 redhead...Matt, couldn't help but to notice your name up there.😁 If ever you want to work out a deal...

78 Is also my birth year. 1976-1977 are the "engraved" weber logo lid vents with the "elongated" b in Weber and have the small turn tab on the lid vent. The bowl vents have the large dual tabs. 1978 is supposed to be the dateless "modern" lid vent with the embossed Weber logo and wide turn tab. Incidentally, anyone see a Lime kettle with the "1978" vent? I've yet to see one. There are yellows, reds, chocolates, blacks, dark blues, and dark greens with that vent, but haven't seen or come across a lime green one with that vent yet.

My lime is either 77 or 78. Hopefully 77.  That would make it my birth year kettle. It's got new style shoes!

Awesome find @Craig Can I hit you up for a high res scan of the cover? That'd look sweet in my bar!
