Oktoberfest party
« on: October 25, 2015, 05:51:30 PM »
We had an Oktoberfest party yesterday for about 40 people.  Made some moinks on the red, and some standard brats on the performer.  But the big hit was the applewood smoked brats.  SO GOOD.  I only made 15 of the 60 brats this way, as I thought some might not want smoke, but they were gone in a hurry.  It was the first time I made moinks as well.  They turned out awesome.  The best part of the evening was showing off the grills, as many people hadn't been over at the house since last and were very curious about how/why I now had 6 grills out back.  Fun to tell the story of weberitis!

That food looks good. And the pictures give a hint that you don't just have six grills, you have some very cool grills.

Food looks great!
Always nice to share the obsession, or rather more often, catch the weird looks and befuddled confusion.

Even a friend who I've cooked out with for the last 10-15 years, and has a weber that I gave him, saw my collection the other day and was like 'okay this is getting a little out of hand'

But you're right, always nice to share!
