I picked this guy up from CL in Aurora, CO today.  Did some cleanup and refinished the handle.  Still need some oven cleaner and SS hardware.

Before:

After:

Cool handle and enameled vent:

So I am thinking it is 73-77.  There's no code on the enameled vent.

How old is this Joe ?

Welcome Tra...ahem, Javahog! Very nice score. There are quite a few members with this style sj, they should be able to help. But I and a whole bunch of others were very interested in THAT sj ;)

Thanks.

Nice find, let me know if you ever.......ahh, never mind.  You properly have had dozens of offers for that SJ already.  Just glad it went to someone who can appreciate it.

So where does "cue-cart" come from, I have an old "cue-cart" from Atlanta Stove Company, but the logo is different.

Welcome to the club!

Sanded with 150 grit.  Stained with MinWax golden pecan followed with mutiple coats of urethane.

Thats what the logo is from.  I pulled the logo when I refurbed my Cue Cart and painted it orange for a nice contrast.

Welcome and thanks for coming over and sharing those pictures of your old Smokey Javahog! I really tried for that, but the odds were against me out here in California. I did get a lot a great support though. :)

I see you also have a Cue Cart like me. Here's mine.  http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/off-topic/i-scored-a-que-cart-today!/msg1944/#msg1944

I really like it, but may be selling it because I have a large weber stable and it doesn't get much use these days.

javahog2002

Wow that cue cart looks awesome.  Like those wheels. My cart in not on a paved area unfortunately.

Where did you get your stainless for the shelves and the expanded metal for the coal grate.

Wow I would hate to sell that awesome cooker.  You should give to a family member so you still use it or get it back when they want a " new" grill.  There was a reference to my refurb in your thread.  It's a small world.
