Did anyone realize that right now over in Europe, you can get a kabob ring with a complete set of  skewers just like they used to sell here in the states back in the 60's and 70's. Look at the link. This is from Weber's website in Europe. I'm really getting angry that people in Europe, Asia, Middle East, etc.  are continually offered a better selection of accessories and products than people here in the USA.

This is the original Weber kettle. The most powerful bbq grill in the world and can blow your taste-buds clean off! So, you have to ask yourself one question: "Do you feel hungry? Well, do you punk?"

This is BUSHLEAGUE!! Not your post I mean but the fact that Europe gets what we no longer have access to. Nice looking kabob ring, just irritates me that I can't go to Ace, Home Depot, or Amazon to buy one in the states.

It looks like it's an ss. You could get an old rotisserie ring and modify it. I have a few other ideas for old roti rings, but this would be a good one.

The kabob rings are 3 1/2 inches high.

Hogsy

Are they the same skewers that were on the old style ring?
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

No these are different, and they appear to be stainless. The old ones were wood and they were differnet sizes. You could make your own just the right lenghs and curl the handles like that or make wood ones.

Or Weber could just save on shipping them overseas and take my money! I really really just don't get it

Those are flat kubbodeh type skewers, too.....

Maybe they don't think enough people cook like that here?
Probably some kind of "test marketing" thing they did told them it would sell like hotcakes over there?

Yea and the flat ones like that are real good for Argentinian style cooking too but nobody ever does that style cooking here, you can't find  asador style grills all over Craigslist , there aren't recipes for chimichurri sauce or cookbooks like Seven Fires available in the U.S! I love Webers grills but their management is something else. I guess we need to bypass them, maybe we could send the guys at Cajun Bandit these photos and let them make it.

If I had the gourmet system that fits the Ebelskiver I would probably get one. Ebelskiver's are for making stuffed pankace balls. Swedish I think? I didn't research it, but read about them a long time ago. I think they would also make great little egg or quiche balls, but what I think would work perfectly is Takoyaki! Alright, I changed my mind, I want one of these now!  :o

Which then begs the question.......

"Why don't they sell them in Sweden, where they actually know what they are & sell us the skewer sets?"

Weber only makes partial sense sometimes........ :D

Maybe they just want to hear us complain about what the other country has that we don't. ;)
