Side Table
« on: September 11, 2015, 06:28:52 PM »

It's not a Weber, but the general idea works for any kettle.
Background: My wife got me the grill like two years ago and I have loved it.  It has wonderful height and also a cast iron cooking great.

Fast forward 2 years and I was tired of setting up a tray table (hehe) and worrying about a wind gust blowing over all my food.  So I designed and built this folding table out of a single cedar 1x8 I had left over from some planters I built this spring.  The table attaches to the bowl with the hooks from an accessory rack and the hooks for the utensils are not at the end of the table.  I made the table to fold b/c the grill's cover won't go on with the table attached and I also have a tiny garage.  Hopefully, this can give some people ideas for their tables!

I used your idea. Needed a side table for the 18. Gotta stain and poly it, but it works. Thanks for the post!

@pdubss great build! you say you attached the table to the bowl using an "accessory rack." What exactly did you use? Could you proved a link?

@firedude5015 great looking build as well! did you use the same "accessory rack" to hook onto the kettle?

@firedude5015 nice work!  I'm really glad it helped others.  I would post plans, but I just built it from a mental picture.  When I get home from work, I'll take more photos from all sides and the bottom.  It's pretty simple.  And it's only one board
