Is there a wax or coating recommended for the porcelain?  Something like a car wax or other to keep it looking new and clean?

Thanks.

JalopyBob

You really don't need wax for porcelain, 0000 steel wool will keep it looking great.

I don't know of any waxes that will endure the heat from the kettle.

@ClubChapin

try NU Finish (car stuff, orange bottle) is not a wax (synthetic)

& it will be white where it fills in (blemishes) but I'm sure couple rounds of kettle heat will darken it.

I've used it on my black BMW w/ some luck

-Buff it smooth before drys
+Avoid the smoke/fumes while it polymerizes, as it has high zinc content.
...BOBBING FOR COALS IN MY KETTLE

I'm pretty sure @Jeff uses a product called Cerama Bryte - but I could be wrong.
I've been wrong before.

Jeff

Yes, I've used cerma bryte to polish kettles and remove stubborn black marks on colored kettles that 0000 steel wool wasn't effective on

I have used the Le Creuset porcelain cleaner with great results. They sell it at Bed Bath and Beyond.
