Check out this wood POS I made to hold my lid off the ground. You can set your lid down on it in a hurry and there's no way this thing will chip the paint or damage the lid. All I did was get a 1 3/4" wood rod and drill two holes at 45* and put some long dowels in them, then screw it all together. AND WAHLAH!

Nicely done.  If you add a third leg, it would be like an easel and therefore more portable (don't need to lean it on anything).

I took the third leg off, it made it sit too far into the walkway here, but in the wild another leg is handy.

Very cool. How stable are the racks on the hinges?

Stable enough for now, il be getting a die grinder onto the top of the tabs though to notch out a recess for the grates to sit in.

This is one of a few different designs I made to replace some rotten sweeper blades. Its one piece, made from 1/8' angle iron then ground and sanded to the profile of the kettle. When i put it together I advanced one blade 1/8" ahead of the other 2 so I have better control on lo-N-slo cooks.

Heres a relic. This is recycled from a barrel lid, freezer shelf, and a couple old broomstiks.
