Colored Canadian Mastertouch

So I did a search for Weber Mastertouch Canada and came up with a link to Johnstone's BBQ and Parts but it only showed the black Mastertouch without any others listed.
I changed out the word black for slate in the url  and look what I came up with-  what is hilarious is when you put in the different colors they all have crazy different prices.  the smoke one is listed for $5.99 and the slate $1148.


so i tried ivory and it worked-

Here's the smoke listed for $5.99 and listed as in stock!  I doubt they're gonna let that sell for that price but... ;)

Also unlike the blog post on the wkc home page the wheels all have ridges on them and the ash pans all have the larger slots.

Referencing this pic from the wkc blog post the black and slate models had smooth wheels but on the Johnson's retail page they all had ridged wheels and the larger slotted ash pans.

They are all stock images pieced together, nothing official. I bet Johnstones just did the same and snagged a few euro images online. I would be very surprised if they didn't all come with the new wheels and new ash catchers... The Ivory I recieved did at least...

Is there any way to ship them to the US? I'd gladly pay an extra $50 for a slate one.

There are a lot of theories...
It likely boils down to very different distribution structures PLUS the cultural differences between americans and other nationalities.

Some info from some of the Weber Alliance dealers in Canada

Previously only available in Europe and the UK, the new Limited Edition Master-Touch in 4 new colors..

Colors have been a very long awaited addition to the North American market. Only available in Canada while limited quantities last.
Weber Canada is extremely excited to offer 4 one-time only colors – Spring Green, Smoke, Slate and Ivory.

This is exciting and great news for all Weber fans and BBQ collectors Nationwide.
