Uline lime paint color match?
« on: July 24, 2015, 08:55:43 PM »
I've built one mini wsm and had a great time doing it. I used a new sjg and painted my imusa pot black to match.

I'm ready to buy a line lime sj but was wondering if anyone else built one using the lime and maybe found a decent matching paint ?

Check Amazon for high temp auto paint.
I've bought Red, & Gold , might half to go with contrasting color

Here are a few links that you could investigate more:

http://www.autozone.com

http://www.hightempenginepaint.com

http://stovepaint.com

Also, maybe look into finding a speciality automotive place that does color-matching.

Please report back if you find anything satisfactory.

I was going to do this last year and never had time to get to it.  I bought Rustoleum Painter's Touch color Satin Eden for it.  Color was pretty close never got to see it together though.  Its available at Home Depot.  It is not a high heat paint, but if you just use it on the pot and keep temps down you could be ok.  Have heard others not using high heat on the pot and they were ok.

Thanks for all the ideas. I'll probably feel most comfortable with some high heat paint. But I may look at other contrasting colors as LostArrow pointed out.

I have had good success with VHT and Duplicolor

So many months later I finally got the uline lime!  It sure is purdy!  I've all but decided to just leave the pot alone (still need to cut and all). Just been lazy lately.  Not fully decided though I may still look for some obnoxious color to properly contrast the green. I actually haven't seen too many lime mini wsms though. Still debating.....

I know this is a dead post. Did you ever figure out a color code for the Ulime? I'm about to start my mini WSM project and my Google abilities haven't turned up a thing. I may call weber directly to see if I can get a color code because I'm anal and the pot has to match.
