I spied these at our recent flea market.   Just could not pass them by, even though I already have a corn/potato ring.

Luckily, I was correct with my assumption that the other was a Kebab ring

Can someone recommend a solution for my missing stainless skewers?   is there some gauge of steel that could be sliced thin at my local metals place.

Embarassed to admit that hours later I realized I never even thought to ask him if he had the skewers, I just assumed they are the first thing to get lost.   He is a regular vendor so in a 2 months he will be back.

Thanks for any insight!

Sweet pick up! I'd love to find a shish ring... even without the skewers! I'm sure skewers could be fabricated easily, or if after market skewers would work, too.

Nice score! If you want a cooker and not a looker, square 304 stainless might be better. The flat original skewers are pretty flimsy in my opinion. Keep in mind the holes and slots are effectively narrower on the two outer, shortest skewers because of the curve of the ring. So if you get something fabricated make sure you test fit on those since they will have the least clearance for the skewers.

Thanks guys!
Terry, thanks for that insight on the width issue.   common sense, yes, but I would never have thought of that.

@Beef

I measured mine very carefully for @Hogsy on Australia.......the shaping of the wood & the dimensions of the steel.....

He ended up later getting some square stock for the  rods as a replacement, as they are kinda flimsy like Terry says.....

Here's the unfortunate part:

After I sent him the detailed measurements, I realised I had not copied the mail somehow & I think it rests with him.....if he doesn't still have all that, I can re--measure, but it takes awhile !!!!!

If you want skewers for actual use, just grab some off of Ebay and cut to fit with an angle grinder  :-)

Thank Buckie!

I am going to go with 5mm square stock.  Might give me a reason to fire up the wood lathe  too.

No skewer are long enough otherwise.
