If anyone is in the market for a kettle, they are clearance at target right now.  Here's how to check your local target price and inventory.

Go to http://brickseek.com/target-inventory-checker
Enter your zip code and for dcpi enter 009-07-0416

Well I'll be...

Had to go to the Target anyway.

Checked the link and got a green check. Said there was two.

Walked over, and there are two.

Not marked on the shelf that I could find. Scanned at the $49.98 price.

I left them there, but if there are any flippers in the audience...

Notice anything but the 18"s? I need a 22" cover.
Still need a 22" yellow

My local Target has them, went by after work, but at $79.99. The person I stopped to ask if they were on sale checked and said no. They did have various tools and accessories on sale but they had been picked over. I did pick up two replacement hinged grates for $4.98 each. The clearance sign said $9.98, but I noticed the sticker on the grates themselves said $4.98. When I checked out they rang up at $9.98 but since the sticker had a lower price the cashier honored it.
If anyone runs across a good deal in Oklahoma please let me know.

Target is clearancing them out early this year. The Targets in StL started the spring off with a seriously low stock of anything Weber.   ???  Only one 22 at any of the Targets near me and it is $69.98.

see if I can just c/p this over from the Brethren thread instead of retyping:

Quote from: Demosthenes9Just an FYI for everyone jumping in. Target clearance deals vary from district to district and even from store to store. IF it's in stock but not on clearance yet, keep checking.

Also, don't just go by what the tag on the shelf says. Grab the box and take it over to one of the price scanners. Sometimes the items will already be marked down in the system, just no one has gotten around to putting the clearance price tag on it.

On some of the scanners, you can manually input the DCPI number instead of having to scan the bar code.

#1 rule on a deal like this is DO NOT CALL. You'll just alert employees to the deal and it will end up in their trunk (or a friend's) instead of yours.

Quote from: Demosthenes9Another BTW thing, look around the BBQ section as other items will be clearanced out as well. IIRC, about the only Weber grill Target carries year round is the Smokey Joe Silver. All other grills are seasonal. Pretty sure that most of the accessories are seasonal as well, meaning that they will be clearanced also. Last year, 18" hinged grates went down to $4.xx each, 22in hinged grates were like $6, can't remember the prices on covers or anything else, but plenty of deals to be had.

Also, Target clearances usually work on a schedule. One the first mark down occurs, the price will drop each week or maybe every 2 weeks at the onset. The schedule could vary by store/region. This is why some people are seeing full price, others are grabbing for $50, yet others are grabbing for under $30.

Thanks for the heads up!   Really early this year

Uncle JJ

I tried to search for "Weber" to find other dcpi codes - nothing came up.  Also searched "Weber Grill" - other grill brands came up, but not Weber.  It'd be cool to have a good list of codes to see what's out there.

Thanks

OK, so you can go to Target's site and search Weber.  Each item you click on gives the dcpi number (scroll down).

I've searched for 10 different dcpi's, and the only ones showing at my local Targets are the JJ's and SJ's.  Neither are on sale.  Yet.

@ckf  Nice First Post! Thanks for the link.

A couple stores in my area were showing the 22" at $29.95 late last night after the stores were closed, but this morning all those stores ended up showing as "out of stock" :(

So the DCPI code for the 18.5 kettle is 009-07-0402, and the JJ is 009-07-0464. Neither are clearanced in StL. I also grabbed the DCPI code for the 18.5 grate (009-06-0719). One store has them down to $5.38 (0 in stock, of course), and another has them @ $8.38... all the rest they are at full retail $16.99.  Code for the SJS is 009-07-0414
