What year is a double mbh red bbq kettle...

Patent 3538906. And is this a run of the mill mbh...?

Just patent # and no date stamp?? Prob a 78'... Are the lower bowl tabs wide?

Okay..sobthis is a 1970-1978..

The daisy wheel vent tabs are very very small...

Okay..let me read back at a prior photo posting.

Btw i worked this seller for over a week to get my appt tonight...

It seemed like a longshot without photos but yielded results

PAT# 3538906 issued on November 10, 1970. This patent number first appeared in the 1973 catalog.  (1972 still lists kettles as PAT PENDING)

Breakdown...

PAT 3538906
BAR B Q KETTLE vent
Small single turn tabs on the bowl vents
Plastic wheels with thin whitewalls

1973-74 date range.

Thanks...yeah..wheels plastic..no whitewalls (anymore)

Dampers r almost frozen..im gonna have to work em this weekend.
