Not necessarily frowned upon.....anything that works out is worth a shot.....if it takes down the crusty rust-type stuff & gets things in shape, it's worth a try.....

you're right the kitty pool was way too small, so I had to use the kiddy pool, which was too big. Wonder if there's anything between?
