Economy redhead...?
« on: April 25, 2015, 09:15:46 AM »
Spotted this in the wild today. Appears to be an economy redhead. No markings on the vents, and it has the ridge in the bowl. I just assumed all of the Sears, Kmart, etc economy models that Weber made were...  blaik.

That's neat! I've never heard of a redhead cheapo weber. Any plans to bring it home?

I never paid attention I guess , does that ridge hold the charcoal grate ?

So no welded straps inside ? Or just for the top grate ?

I didn't know the economy kettles came with one touch either. I thought they were all 3 wheelers.

It's a smart idea for the grate and less weld points inside the bowl is always a plus but it just doesn't look right with the ridge. The whole balance of the kettles shape is thrown off :D

We'll see. It was sitting on the side of a business... they're closed on the weekends, and their weekday hours are when I'm at work. Looks like it hasn't been used in years, though.  Hmmm.... possible switch for a better conditioned one?  ;)

Never hurts to ask whether they want to switch or sell or on just outright give it away.
