I'll be using mine today 2 Dutch ovens to make some Irish lamb stew! (1) 7qt Lodge and (1) 5qt Lodge. Should be good on a day like today. rainy and chilly 44 degrees outside right now
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

  Cast iron cooking is what got me into bbq. I learned simple recipes as a teenager at Elk Camp , that led to open fire cooking and then to BBQ , I guess that's why I like Webers so much , just a simple tool that works extremely well , like cast iron .

probably quite a few, I always had a cast iron pan, then it grew into dutch oven cooking outside which merged with grilling outside till now I just consider it all one thing.
Do it, you will be glad you did. I even have a dedicated steel table to cook on by the grill

I am going do riblets for lunch cooked 2 hours in baked beans for lunch today, all in a dutch oven on that table

guess you could say so, I took 1 1/2 square tube and made the frame, then made a base for the top out of 1 1/2 angle, set a 40 by 20 piece of 3/16th sheet on that and welded it on, put a few crass braces to prevent warpage. Plan on wood for a bottom shelf and some pegs for utensil handles on the side., I painted everything but the top with high heat paint, the top I cured in like a cast iron pan till it took real good, it is not painted on either side just saffron oil. it now has a coating just like a pan

All of my pieces are Lodge expect one Griswold which is my primary pan. My next favorite would be the enameled cast iron Dutch oven, great for soup. I did noticed it has doubled in price since I got it last year. Although it comes with a couple skillets I find a 10" skillet isn't big enough sometimes.

I would love to go to a lodge outlet and see their various styles. Some have sloped walls instead of vertical which would make sautéing and such easier.

I use cast iron quite frequently, especially when camping.  It is amazing the things you can do with a camp-style oven and some charcoal.  Some of my favorite pieces:

Lodge 5 and 7 Qt DO's. 6", 8", 10", 12" skillets. I've got my eye on the 17" skillet with little side handles from Lodge that will cover most of the 22" kettle. Not quite a mojoe griddle but a pretty nice piece http://www.amazon.com/Lodge-L17SK3-Pre-Seasoned-Skillet-17-inch/dp/B00063RWVG

A little pricey but like any CI would last forever.

Austin if you're not interested in using the kettle's lid you can easily get larger pans (paella style). Won't be CI, but some are seasoned carbon steel.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

I have an 8" and a 15", Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to seasoning them yet. Cast iron is the most versatile piece of cook wear you can own, also lasts practically forever.

@austin87   Not sure what you are using it for, but that skillet is 17" on top, 14" on the bottom.  I looked at the same piece but did not need the high sides and ended up buying this:
