Troy

you know, when you mentioned this in the other thread I thought it was going to look silly.
but that looks pretty bitchin!

It's like the grill has its ninja pants on.

Thanks everyone! Appreciate the feedback! Is it bad that I just found an old 18" on craiglist and offered $20 even though I already have two?

haha, Thanks Troy!! I wasn't so sure when the idea originally struck, but it turned out even better than I imagined.

I really like that look, but will the paint stick to aluminum in the long run?

I'm diggin' the black legs with the black kettle. Gives it a badassness! I wonder how the ash pan would look in high heat black? 8)

To be honest I'm not 100% sure. I used the High Heat Rustoleum so I guess only time will tell. I think it will defiitely scratch easy being the flat black. Will obviously have to be somewhat careful when emptying the ashpan... but this was my first mod so it will most likely end up being a learning experience.

Oh you are SO asking this crowd the wrong question.

I have a neighbor and grilling buddy. I'll ask him, "Are you hungry?" and he says, "Am I awake?"
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
