cut the bottom of my mother n laws cast iron pot  /////  more pic`s after my first try at  this method

I only use kettles with lid bales.

Looks like it could work though. I've got an old Dutch oven I could maybe use for that if it works out. Can't wait to see the results!

Curious..what did you use to cut the pan? That requires a pretty hefty cutter? Air cutting wheel tool?

@toolhead  I  used an electric angle grinder with a cutting wheel

@Hell Fire Grill  good eye catching the drain hole drilled in the bottom of the pot  // the sides of the pot weren`t rusted as bad as the bottom

I just bought a cutting wheel and die grinder...ill probably have to get those on the bench soon....
