Bonus Cup

Hi all,

Relatively new here. Usually just read all the tips everyone has. I've had a 22.5" grill for a long time but have been wanting a Performer.  I could never find one in my area so with a trip down to the Keys coming up I started looking in those areas.

Finally found one in a city we would be driving through and made a quick detour. Price was so good at $75 I didn't even bother with haggling. Picked her up and she was in better condition than I thought. Strapped her down into the boat and back on the road to Marathon.

Couldn't be happier, the igniter even works. Hope to contribute some posts now and then.

That's one of the best Performer Cart styles IMO and the green kettle looks great. Congrats on the find Bonus Cup, and welcome!

Agree with sixzero...the gen2 ..aside from ss carts are sharp.

The faceplate on gen 2 is very sharp.

Thats a great score for a green at $75...

Whats up with the ash bucket.  Shiny?..that model has black bucket?

Did the seller sand it down to metal?

Woah back the truck up here for a second did I hear strapped her down into the boat ??
I think we need to see the boat here - with or without the performer in it will do

That's really pretty, and seems to be in good condition.  Congrats, and nice work!

...with that low purchase price, I'd be tempted to swap that table out for one of the new metal tables.  If you do that please post a pic.

Dave O, I was looking for that pic and then remembered I took it with my buddy's phone. I will post it though. Lol.

Tool head,
I think it is just the way the pic turned out. It is black but I think  it is white from wet ash overflow. I'm going to clean it all up as best I can.

Here are some recent thoughts on that. http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/new-cover-for-new-performer/msg153676/#msg153676

(You may run across another cover that appears a little longer and lower. That one is for the old Performer with stainless steel frame, not what you have.) But one of the 3 mentioned above will fit.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
