I sent these to him as a gift.

And a nice gift they are … Hey, @MrHoss , we must have the same mailman.  Thank you so much, Matt!  :D

The wood always makes grills look so much better....my goal is to get wood handles on everyone's grills!

My thoughts exactly, @zavod44 .  I like the look of an MBH, but I truly want 3 wood handles on all my kettles … Well, at least 2.  :D ;)

those are nice handles, I think you did a great job, a great talent

now I will get back to my regular Saturday activities, walking up the street to the club house and spending the next few hours wondering why I have such nice clubs and so little talent in using them
If we were meant to grill with gas then the garden of Eden would have had a pipeline

Everyone needs to calm the fuck down.

There is literally no issue between Matt and Brian.  Taking sides in this is silly.

Sorry, unable to calm (the fuck) down......

I've discovered this in the garden.....in the front is last years cherry tomato plant....one of two that were about four feet wide & 6~7 feet tall.....that dead stuff.......just to the right & behind that....

Up close, it looks to be perhaps dandelion....maybe....

Upon further inspection......

Thing's the size of a baseball bat at the lower end of the stalk & about 7 ft. tall.....

it's either the world's largest dandelion.....or some type of pre-historic rhubarb / cabbage hybrid....... :o

I truly love dandelion season … Love the look of yellow and green together.

However, that's a FREAKING monster!!  Never seen them more than maybe 3' high.  ??? ;D ;) ;)

@1buckie

I believe this is either Prickly Sowthistle or Prickly Lettuce. Same family as a Dandelion.
Nothin a little Roundup won't take care of.  ;)

Says, "The plant is classified as a noxious weed in some states". You be careful out there Buckie.

So many emotions in this thread, what with 1buckie's giving me nightmares and dazzo planting to harvest a red M/T.

P.S. I want those seeds. (Not yours 1buckie.)
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Gotta love Wikipedia, it's a "noxious weed" that makes a "palatable and nutritious leaf vegetable". Hmmm??  ???
