Red Kettle Rich

Looking for a RED 26" Kettle & a tabbed no leg RED 22" Kettle near STL. Copper Sam Adams SJ anywhere 8)

It was a 1959 Ranch Kettle that was on an online auction in Columbus, Oh. The ad says the owner won it on "The Price Is Right" in 1959. The ash pan is interesting with the sticker of Weber's Mascot, and the thread talking about when they changed from this design to the rounded pan. I will attempt to post the ad photos in case this link is no longer any good. Here is the link, under categories , vintage, its the last item

The grill was purchased by a son (or daughter) of George Stephens.

Wohoo

glad someone got it that would appreciate it
If we were meant to grill with gas then the garden of Eden would have had a pipeline

@einrej

A Stephens family member bought it for $4200.  The grill is NOS (never used).  Apparently the lady who won the grill on The Price is Right has newspaper clippings from the Columbus Dispatch in 1959 featuring the prizes she won on the show (including the grill).  A cool story.

love the radio flyer wheels.  but not $4200 love just sort of admiring from a distance love.

I only use kettles with lid bales.

Bump! Upon closer inspection a 22 from this 1950s photo had that same sticker.
